September 19, 2011 Mosiah 3:19

For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

Family family family.

How are ya`ll doin! this week was gRRRRReat. The scripture of the week is mosiah 3:19. I love your letters, courts mom and matt. sounds like you guys are doing really well. I´m excited to see pictures of the bebe. Hey quick shoot out, if someone wants to do me a favor, open up my guitar case, open up the compartment in there, and take out the humidifier, (looks like a stone in plastic) soak it in water for a bit then put it back where you found it, that would be awesome :) got to play a little guitar this week. i miss that, but i have a bigger purpose right now. ive been thinking about how lucky i am. there are so many people in the world that don`t have the gospel. and i had it coming out of the womb. im grateful to my lovely parents who raised me in the gospel. This week was really good. one of our zone leaders and assistant to president came to otuzco this week. I had the oportunity to work with elder picket an assistant. we had a good time proseliting together in Salpo. with this member there hermano genero. this man has soo much faith and i wish all members were like him. he is 80 years old, was baptized in trujillo, but moved to milluachaqui cuz thats where his family is and wants them all to have the gospel. he is in way good shape and hikes and proselites with us, he talks with everyone in the area about the gospel and seems he is related to all of them in some form also haha. he is a great missionary and has literally dedicated his life to the work. on the way back from salpo in a bus with elder picket, we were squished al up against the window, and came to construction. we noticed the mountain on our side up above was the road to otuzco, we left the bus and hiked up haha. and when we looked back all the people trying to get to otuzco got out of the bus and followed us. haha. by the time we got to a taxi, the bus was just arriving too haha. but it was way better than standing squished in the bus. my confidence level grew extremely this week. especially in spanish, and with that contacting and teaching in general. I love teaching, i wonder if i will ever get tired of teaching the same things for 2 years, but really it is better each time. we had a chance yesterday to teach 3 families in 1 lesson, taught the restoration, and it went really well. This sunday if everything goes well, we are going to have 3 baptisms in otuzco. 2 from milluachaqui (equal forces teaching from me elder mikesell, contreras, and espinal) since we share that area and always split companionships teaching, and 1 from area of mikesell and espinal. this brother German has soo much faith. him and his wife are the two from milluachaqui getting baptized. his wife i think is having doubts, but hopefully all goes well. we taught him tithing yesterday and he has the faith that god will bless him double. so awesome, he is old. there is so much that happens every week it is hard to choose what to tell you. but i am doing well. i promise. love you guys so so much and have a great week!
